Privacy
Splitter collects no data. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing about you or your windows ever leaves your Mac.

What Splitter does on your Mac
- Accessibility. Splitter uses the macOS Accessibility permission to read the position, size and title of your windows and to move them onto your displays. This happens entirely on your Mac and is never recorded or sent anywhere.
- Screen Recording (optional). If you allow it, Splitter captures a small picture of a window to show when you hover its tab. These pictures are kept in memory only, are never saved to disk and are never sent anywhere. They're discarded when you quit.
- Settings. Your layout, pinned apps and preferences are saved in the app's own preferences on your Mac.
Purchases
The free trial and the unlock are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. Splitter only learns whether your Apple ID owns the trial or the unlock, from a receipt signed by Apple. Splitter never sees your name, email address or payment details.
Network
Splitter makes no network connections of its own. The only connections are the ones macOS makes to the App Store to check your purchase.
Children
Splitter doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
